Partnering with eight “hubs” along the Suwannee River, Suwannee River Wilderness Trail starts the path down the river from White Springs, 171 miles down to the Gulf of Mexico. The trail is primarily used for paddling, having its own paddling guidebook that takes paddlers through its trail down to its partners’ locations. The hubs offer plenty of on foot trails that allow visitors access to biking, horse bike riding and hiking. Separating hub trails are campgrounds readily available for overnight accommodations. Accessed by river only, these “river camps” are cabins equipped with electricity, ceiling fans, potable water and more.
