All Aboard Live Oak is expected to bring in Amtrak officials as well as Senator Bill Nelson for a meet and greet Tuesday.
Nelson, D-Fla., visited Live Oak last October to pledge his support for making the city a stop on a reestablished Amtrak line across the Southeast. He is one of the expected guests for Tuesday’s meeting, which is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the historic Suwannee Depot, 210 Ohio Ave. Also expected to be in attendance for the meet and greet, which is open to the public, are high-level Amtrak officials, according to the All Aboard Live Oak campaign.
The meeting is scheduled to discuss the campaign and what the city is doing to secure a stop and will also offer a question-and-answer opportunity for those in attendance.
